Below, you'll find answers to the most common questions I'm asked. If you can't find what you're looking for, please feel free to use the contact form at the bottom of the page as I'm happy to answer your questions personally.
Getting Started
Do I need a referral to see you?
No, you're welcome to get in touch directly.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults aged 18 and over.
How do I get started?
The first step is to book a complimentary 30-minute call so that you can ask any questions you have, share what you'd like to work on, and see if we feel like a good fit. After this, the next step is to book an initial consultation.
What happens in an initial consultation?
In an initial consultation, we'll talk in more depth about the difficulties you're facing, the things you've already tried, the changes you want to make, and the type of support you're looking for. By the end of the session, you'll know what it's like to work with me, and you'll have a clear sense of how we'll approach your recovery. The session will also give me the information I need to design a bespoke support plan for you. The initial consultation is an hour long and costs £125.
Sessions and support packages
Can I work with you on an ad hoc basis?
No. Recovery from chronic fatigue, burnout, and disordered eating isn't something that happens in a single session - it takes time, continuity, and commitment. By working together for a minimum of six to twelve sessions, we can create the space you need to understand what's happening, notice patterns, and build approaches that genuinely work for your life.
How many sessions will I need?
This will depend on what you're working on and what you want to achieve. Most clients find that meaningful progress comes from working together over several months, starting with a minimum of six sessions. Some people continue for longer if they're addressing long-standing patterns or navigating multiple challenges. We'll discuss what might work best for you in your initial consultation, and we can always adjust as we go.
What's included in my support package?
Your package will include one-to-one online sessions with me, where we'll use both coaching and counselling, so that we can address the immediate practical challenges you're facing while also working with the deeper emotional and psychological issues that are making life so hard. You'll also receive resources tailored to where you are in your recovery, and we'll work within a holistic, trauma-informed approach which addresses the root causes of your difficulties and not just the symptoms.

For many clients, having support between sessions makes a real difference. If this appeals, your package can include check-ins via WhatsApp, text or email for when questions come up, doubts creep in, or you need reassurance. We'll explore the different options during your initial consultation, and then I'll design a bespoke package based on your preferences, needs and the level of support you're looking for.
What if I've never done coaching or counselling before?
That's completely fine - many of the people I work with are exploring this kind of support for the first time. You don't need to prepare anything or know what to say. Our sessions are conversational, not formal or clinical, and you can bring whatever's on your mind. I'll guide the process and help you feel at ease as we go.
Endings, Breaks and Cancellations
What if I decide I want to finish or take a break and come back later?
Both are perfectly fine. We'll simply work together until the end of your support package, and we'll spend some time in the final session reviewing the work you’ve done and identifying any tools you want to keep using to maintain your progress. If we've been working together for a while, it’s also possible to arrange occasional check-in sessions to make sure things are going well or to revisit areas you want to explore further.
What happens if I want to cancel a session?
If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, there’s no fee. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Confidentiality and Approach
Is what I say to you in sessions confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is essential and a key part of our work together. There are a few rare instances where I may need to break confidentiality - please see my Data Protection and Privacy Policy for full details.
Will you give me advice and tell me what I should do?
No, I won’t tell you what to do, but I may share information and suggestions if you’re open to them. My role is to help you feel confident in your choices and explore options together in a way that works for you. This often involves trying new ways of thinking and acting, both during sessions and in your day-to-day life, but we’ll always work at your pace. You’ll never be pushed to do something you’re not comfortable with.
Support and Outcomes
Can you help if I need emergency support right now?
As I work by appointment only, I'm afraid I can't, so if you need immediate assistance, please contact your GP, NHS Direct (111), the Samaritans (116 123), or go to your local A&E Department.
Additional sources of support can also be found in Mind's guide to Mental Health Crisis Services: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/guides-to-support-and-services/crisis-services/helplines-listening-services/ and the Hub of Hope (a mental health support database which uses your postcode to help you find services nearby): https://hubofhope.co.uk/
Can you guarantee that I'll get the outcomes I want if I work with you?
As much as I’d love to offer you a guarantee, it would be wrong to do so, as multiple factors determine whether or not lasting change occurs. What I can promise you, though, is that I will work alongside you to make it more likely that you'll get the result you want. I'll be there to help you step outside your comfort zone, explore new approaches, and be honest with yourself and others about what you really need. And I'll help you plan ways to put what we're doing in sessions into practice outside of them, so that you can reflect on and embed what we've been exploring together - and the more you do this, the more likely you'll be to reach the outcomes you’re hoping for.

Whether you have a question, want to explore if we’d be a good fit, or are ready to book a first appointment, you don’t need to have everything sorted before we speak. I know that reaching out isn’t always easy, so I want to make the first step as simple as possible - just choose whichever option feels best for you, and I'll reply as soon as I can:
